General Review
Mary came to R.L. Stevens having just been let go from her position at a non-profit company. Never having experienced a period of unemployment, she was worried. She had been immersed in her work, and felt that she didn’t have the knowledge or professional network that would be necessary for her to find something quickly.
Mary’s consultant studied her skills and objectives, and found her resume was not positioned correctly for achieving those objectives. She created a focused document targeted toward the senior level position that Mary was capable of assuming. Then Mary’s consultant provided her with both unpublished and published opportunities.
Using R.L. Stevens’ resources, Mary and her consultant identified several companies, and her consultant provided deeper level research and contacts within the company. They reviewed communication strategy and tactics for each interview, making sure that Mary would make a positive impact that would cause her to stand out from the crowd.
When Mary received an offer from a major hospital, her consultant was delighted. She helped Mary negotiate a $20,000 increase in salary and a 16% yearly bonus. After being unemployed a number of months, Mary was thrilled to once again be in a senior role, in a position that met her salary needs and desire for growth.
