General Review
Mitch had received numerous interviews prior to coming to R.L. Stevens but had not had any success converting those interviews to offers. He knew something was going very wrong in the interview. He obviously had the skill set to make an upward move but was struggling answering subtle and difficult interview questions. Mitch recognized that he didn’t have a college degree. He often felt that his lack of education was eliminating him from numerous positions.
Working with his consultant, she guided Mitch on interviewing skills and how to present his skill sets in such a way that his actual experience compensated for a lack of a degree. She guided him on contacting key decision makers to ensure interviews. A great deal of their time focused on marketing himself for the types of positions he was seeking.
Mitch was rewarded with an offer that excited him. He felt the company was a good fit based on his background and he looked forward to working with the group of people he had met during the extensive interview process. The difference this time was that he was prepared for the interview and how to overcome any perceived liabilities to advance his career. He interviewed with renewed confidence, now understanding how to market his extensive experience and skills in the industry that allowed him a position as director of operations with future growth opportunity.
“Working with R.L. Stevens gave me the ability to work through ideas, strategies, and thought processes. It opened my ability to interview and convey what I am capable of accomplishing for an organization.”
