General Review
Mark came to RL Stevens after the closing of his business. He had a great deal of expertise and skill to bring to a new situation, but didn’t know the best ways to surface and contact the right individuals.
Mark’s Consultant spent a great deal of time helping make decisions about the most appropriate skills to highlight and industries to target. Then industry research was compiled to be sure a solid base of potential employers was established.
Since he had very little experience with conducting a proper career search, time was spent in the area of contact development along with interviewing techniques. Mark’s Consultant didn’t want the “stumper” questions to derail the chances for a second interview, much less an offer.
As Mark implemented the Marketing Plan coaching was provided by his Consultant to be sure momentum was built and kept moving forward.
Mark became very good at using the RLS techniques and this led to several interviews and a very promising offer from a former competitor. Time was then spent in preparation for the negotiations and Mark is very happy in a challenging position that holds real potential for the future.
