General Review
Tim came to RL Stevens after having sold a successful regional manufacturing business. His questions for his Consultant centered on the fact he was too young to retire, but didn’t know where to go or what to do next.
After some serious soul searching with his Consultant and research provided by the RLS research staff, it made perfect sense to re-enter the corporate world. The industry research made it easier to target the most appropriate industries and potential employers. Since Tim had been either owner or president for a number of years, his Consultant spent time to make sure the “problem” interview questions were speed bumps and not hurdles. At first Tim seemed content to use the traditional contact methods even though his Consultant prepared him to use RL Steven’s unique contact development methods. He soon realized the traditional methods would only bring traditional, i.e. slow, ineffective, results. As Tim began to implement the RLS approach the results began to change.
Since Tim’s job search goals were a bit unique, a six-figure income, flexible schedule, independence and travel, he soon found the options were scarce. However, the perfect position soon appeared as a factory representative for a manufacturer covering an entire state.
Interviews ensued, an offered quickly was made, Tim’s Consultant helped him strategize for the negotiation and the rest is history. Tim and his new employer are very happy with the match.
